The homestay is conveniently located quite close to the mosque, which may be helpful for those who want to pray. it is close enough to the city center, making it easily accessible to shops and restaurants.
Some guests mentioned that the proximity to the mosque can be noisy, especially during times of prayer.

The hosts were so charming, like living with your long-lost relatives. The breakfast spread was out of this world, making every meal feel like a royal feast. The homestay had a beautiful garden and cozy lounge, perfect for lounging around and feeling posh.
Oh, how I struggled to find something negative to say! But alas, even the most fastidious of souls like me couldn't find a single flaw in this marvelous place.

The owners were extremely helpful and kind, making our stay hassle-free. They provided transportation services and organized tours for us, including the Ijen tour. The breakfast offered was delicious, and we appreciated the option to purchase other food. The homestay had a lovely inner yard and several friendly cats. the location was convenient, with restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance.
The shower did not have warm water, which was a bit of a disappointment, especially after the Ijen tour. The noise from the water in the little fishpond at night was somewhat disturbing, but using earplugs helped to mitigate the issue.

Our stay at Banana Homestay was truly exceptional! Fryda and her husband went above and beyond to make our visit to Banyuwangi unforgettable. From helping us plan our Java Trip to arranging an affordable driver for our Mount Ijen Tour, they took care of every detail. They even picked us up from the harbor and let us use their scooter to explore a nearby waterfall. The breakfast they served was absolutely delicious - the best we had on our entire trip! The warm and welcoming hospitality of this family made us feel right at home, and we made friends for life. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and generosity.

I recently stayed at Banana Homestay during my trip to Banyuwangi. The hosts were incredibly generous and honest, picking us up from the train station and taking us to the ferry port the next day. They even arranged a reasonably priced tour to Ijen for us. The breakfast at the homestay was delicious and complete, and they also offered take-away options. The family treated us like their own, showing us around town and taking us to local attractions. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful homestay.
Would recommend this hotel.

The hosts at Banana Homestay were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They not only provided transportation to and from the station, but also gave us valuable advice for a safe trip to Ijen. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the fan kept us cooler than expected. The hosts even arranged a tour to visit the Ijen Crater at a fair price. Although we didn't have breakfast, other guests raved about it. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Banana Homestay to anyone visiting the area.
